Lompoc Family Session ||| Central Coast Photographer

One of my closest friends, and her family are moving to Texas at the end of the week. While I am going to miss them dearly, I am also excited for them because it will be a great adventure.  I am also behind excited to have had the opportunity to capture some sweet moments around Old Town Lompoc & in what is left of our local flower fields.

I first met Haley when I was going into early labor with my firstborn son Blake.  She was the nurse who monitored me at Lompoc Valley Medical Center.  She was also pregnant with her oldest son. She was so kind and empathetic, and really left an impression upon me.  I was later transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and my son Blake made his way into the world a lot earlier than expected!  Eight months later we met again at a Mom’s Club of Lompoc meeting.  It took us a moment to make the connection, but we remembered that she was the kind nurse who helped me in that very scary situation.

We have so many similar interests, such as, sweet treats, walking, and HGTV, that we became instant friends. That bond became even closer when we both had our second boys, only 5 months apart.  It’s been so much fun sharing the funny & sometimes difficult times we had raising our boys.

When our boys were still young enough to enjoy stroller walks, we would meet to walk along the flower fields by my house or other walking trails around town.  The fresh air and exercise made the day go so much better!

 

In my opinion, one of the of the hardest parts of moving is saying goodbye to friends.  However, I am so grateful that their move has brought us closer together & shown me how important it is to cherish the time we have with our friends.
